“Graduate of the Faculty of Sculpture at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in the studio of Janusz Antoni Pastwa. In his work, the artist reaches for both monumental scale and creates small, intimate forms, inspired by everyday situations. He experiments with various materials, such as bronze, stone, aluminum, but also cheap materials such as fabric scraps, twigs. The themes of his works oscillate around realism, the artist often installs his sculptural realizations in public spaces, calling on viewers to be active and critically observe their surroundings. Their titles and arrangement are often a commentary on the relationship between culture and politics, and the oppressiveness of cultural institutions and imposed social norms.”
